The City of Coquitlam is celebrating its 125th year anniversary. On this occasion, Coquitlam Lions Water Polo Association is organizing a one day 12U Jamboree Tournament on Feb 13, 2016. We take this opportunity to invite all of the Lower Mainland Clubs and are also extending this invitation to Saanich Water Polo School. Come and join us for a day of fun games.

2015 Mid-Season Tournament Information
This year the 12U and 16U tournaments will be held on the weekend of November 27 – 29 at Fleetwood Pool in Surrey. The plan is to hold the 12U tournament all day Saturday, November 28th, while the 16U tournament will be held on the evening of Friday, November 27th and all day Sunday, November 29th.The 14U and 18U events will take place on the weekend of December 11 – 13 at CCAC in Coquitlam.
The 12U tournament will be a jamboree event with team rosters selected from athletes from all participating clubs. Each player will receive a special event T-shirt in his or her team’s colour. We hope that all 12U players will attend the tournament, including 12U-aged players from clubs without a 12U team. Teams will be selected, coaches assigned, and all Saturday long the coach and team will have an opportunity to share their common love of water polo and enjoy the camaraderie of teammates they usually compete against.

The Mid-Season Tournament for our 15U & 18U teams will be held Friday, Dec 12th to Sunday, Dec 14th at City Centre Aquatic Centre.

BC Sport Conference
The BC Sport Conference is an exciting new one-day multi-sport coaching development conference featuring world-renowned coaches, trainers and athletes who have worked and competed at the collegiate, provincial, national, and international levels.The BC Sport Conference will be happening on January 10th, 2015 at the Michael J. Fox Theatre. Lunch and refreshments will be included.
Registration will be available online until the end of day on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Early Bird pricing ($150) is in effect until November 30, 2014. Tickets sold after November 30 will be standard pricing ($175). Seating is by general admission. Doors open at 8:00am for check-in. Opening remarks begin at 9:00am. The conference will conclude at 5:00pm.

Parent Volunteers Training Session

Lower Mainland Water Polo League games are scheduled to begin soon. Families participating in our Parent Volunteer Program will be volunteering as minor officials during games.To ensure our volunteers are familiar with the various minor officials’ roles, our Head Coach, Ethan D’Souza will be hosting Parent Volunteers Training sessions. Training sessions will cover how to work the Game Clock, how to fill in the Game Sheets and what the referee’s hand signals & whistle blows mean.
All families are encouraged to attend. Please print the Game Sheet ( sent via email) to bring to the training session. Attendance will count as one volunteer hour.
